Liu Xi's revenge reaches its climax, Li Zhi and Li Tai's fates hang in the balance, and the QTE gauntlet demands perfection. There are six possible openings to this chapter, each determined by choices stretching back to Chapter 2. Your destiny is not written — it is fought for.
Six. The opening of Chapter 16 is determined by your Chapter 2 wardrobe choice combined with the emotional choice you made when meeting the Emperor. This means six distinct narrative openings exist, though they converge at the same critical choices.
The 'flip the script' option requires you to wait a few seconds after selecting it. The game deliberately creates a pause to build tension. Do not assume it is broken — patience is part of the test.
Both lead to valid endings, but they tell different stories. Li Tai's Fate involves the Ultimate Showdown with Liu Xi and a two-round QTE gauntlet. Chance to Meet Zhi involves reaching Li Zhi and a single final QTE. For the canonical true ending, both paths are valid, but the Li Tai path is considered the more dramatic conclusion.
Two: 'Martial Arts Master' for passing all QTEs throughout the entire game, and 'Master of All' for reaching 100% exploration. Chapter 16's QTEs are the final hurdles for both.
